“恐怖份子“的母親是和平母親

在伊拉克尼尼微省的Makhmur，有一個難民營被標示為PKK難民營。PKK，土耳其庫德族工人黨，後來成為反土耳其政府游擊隊，目前被美國列入恐怖組織名單中。

難民營的居民，因為土耳其對境內庫德族的軍事壓迫，在1992-1996間逃離土耳其，最後由聯合國安置在伊拉克。他們被標籤為PKK的支持者，雖然居住在伊拉克，但仍不時擔憂土耳其與伊拉克政府可能聯手遣返他們。

CPT拜訪營區中“和平母親運動“的成員，母親們呼籲土耳其政府與PKK游擊隊停火和談，立法保障庫德族人語言，文化，政治參與的權利。不論是土耳其母親，或是庫德族母親，都不應該再為戰爭死亡而流淚。
