At noon, aviation enthusiasts tracking aircraft movements via Flightradar24 spotted a flight coded TU2702 taking off from Taimali, Taitung. The aircraft was observed circling between Green Island and Orchid Island at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters, traveling at nearly 200 km/h, and staying airborne for over three hours. This unusual flight pattern caught the attention of military observers, with some speculating that the drone might be the Rui Yuan II, conducting surveillance on Chinese warships.

據軍事專家分析，根據航跡與飛行數據推測，這架 TU2702 很可能是 銳鳶二型。該無人機早在 2022 年 即開始升級計畫，包括 換裝新引擎、提高載重、延長航程，並搭載最新電子設備，去年已正式對外公開。

Military experts analyzing the flight path and data believe that TU2702 is most likely the Rui Yuan II drone. This UAV has been undergoing an upgrade program since 2022, which includes a new engine, increased payload capacity, extended range, and advanced electronic systems. The upgraded version was officially unveiled last year.

據了解，第一代 銳鳶 無人機服役已近 16 年，部分硬體已無法滿足現代作戰需求，因此中科院推動技術升級計畫。消息人士指出，銳鳶二型的偵察與監控能力大幅提升，滯空時間長達 15 小時以上，電子系統更穩定，未來將成為應對共軍機艦侵擾的關鍵利器。
