隨著大數據與人工智慧（AI）的快速發展，智慧城市治理也迎來技術革新。3月18日起，一連四天在南港展覽館舉行的「智慧城市展」，展示了多項AI與無人機技術應用成果，包括自動空氣污染監測與溺水偵測系統，展現科技如何提升城市管理效能。
With the rapid development of big data and artificial intelligence (AI), smart city governance is undergoing a technological transformation. The Smart City Expo, held at Nangang Exhibition Center from March 18 for four days, showcased various AI and drone applications, including automatic air pollution monitoring and drowning detection systems, demonstrating how technology enhances urban management efficiency.

Drones Provide 24/7 Surveillance to Safeguard Urban Environments
台中市環保局運用無人機進行空汙監測，確保環境品質不受違規排放影響。環保局長陳宏益強調：「當工廠在夜間排放黑煙時，我們的無人機將自動升空，飛至煙囪位置進行採樣，然後返回基地，確保監測過程不中斷。」這項技術不僅提升執法效率，也減少人力監測的限制，使空汙監控更為精準。
The Taichung Environmental Protection Bureau has deployed drones for air pollution monitoring to ensure environmental quality is not compromised by illegal emissions. Chen Hong-Yi, the bureau's director, emphasized, "If a factory emits black smoke at night, our drones will autonomously take off, fly to the chimney to collect samples, and return to base, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring." This technology improves enforcement efficiency while reducing reliance on manual inspections, making pollution control more precise.

透過AI與自動化技術，城市管理邁向更智慧化。台中市副市長鄭照新表示：「智慧科技應用的核心，是打造幸福宜居的城市。因此，我們這次的展覽主題為『幸福台中，智慧升級』，期望透過科技提升城市透明度、便利性與永續發展。」
With AI and automation, urban management is becoming smarter. Taichung Deputy Mayor Cheng Chao-Hsin stated, "The core of smart technology applications is to build a livable and happy city. That’s why our exhibition theme this year is 'Happy Taichung, Smart Upgrade.' We aim to enhance city transparency, convenience, and sustainability through technology."

AI與無人機技術不僅能監測空汙，還能廣泛應用於城市安全管理，如即時偵測水域溺水事件、交通違規等，提升城市運作效率。隨著智慧城市概念的普及，未來這些技術將更加成熟，帶給市民更便捷、安全的生活環境。
AI and drone technologies are not only capable of monitoring air pollution but can also be widely applied to urban safety management, such as real-time detection of drowning incidents and traffic violations, improving city operations.
