PeoPo's Taichung Your Shoot explores the beauty of Wufeng Lin Family Mansion and Garden

PeoPo's second Your Shoot event was held in cooperation with Datun Community College in Taichung City. Citizen journalists learned more about the historical origins and architectural beauty of Wufeng Lin Family Mansion and Garden, a National Historic Site in Wufeng, Taichung. Built in 1858 by the provincial military commander Lin Wencha, the house has five zones comprising twelve rooms in total.

Citizen journalists got a riveting tour of the house and garden to understand the details and characteristics of this historic site. In addition, they visited stalls outside at a local market, where Datun Community College presented its long-standing concerns on the themes of rural life, ecological conservation, and cultural education. The event culminated with participating citizen journalists being given a choice of themes to cover and prepare a report.

PeoPo台中踹拍 探訪霧峰林家宮保第園區之美

PeoPo今年的第二場踹拍，選在台中舉辦，與台中市大屯社區大學合作，帶領公民記者深入了解國定古蹟霧峰林家宮保第園區的歷史淵源以及建築之美。宮保第園區是台灣保留最完整的閩南式官宅，為清朝水陸提督林文察宅邸，始建於1858年，共有十一開間，五進深規模相當大。

這次踹拍公民記者除了跟著導覽老師的解說，了解宮保第的典故及特色，長期經營在地的大屯社大，也在園區外設立攤位舉辦市集，呈現大屯社大長期關注注田園生活以及生態保育還有文化教育等相關主題。兩條軸線分為兩隊，讓參與的公民記者選擇主題發揮，紀錄報導。
