National Boat Maker Cup: Showcasing creativity and environmental protection

On August 25th, the Taoyuan City Government’s Youth Affairs Bureau, in collaboration with the Program the World Association (PTWA), hosted the 2024 National Boat Maker Cup at Daxi Riverside Park. Focused on creativity and environmental sustainability, the event challenged participants to construct boats using recycled materials. More than 40 teams from across Taiwan took part in the competition, while hundreds of spectators gathered to witness this exciting showcase of speed, innovation, and environmentally-conscious design.

The organizers hope that the National Boat Maker Cup will not only spark creativity and hands-on skills but also promote sustainable development. In addition, they aim to build stronger community connections and raise awareness of environmental protection through the event.

桃園市政府青年事務局與自造者協會，8/25日在大溪河濱公園舉行「2024全國盃Maker造船大賽」，賽事以創意與環保為核心，邀請民眾透過廢物回收再利用製作屬於自己的船隻，吸引全台各地超過四十隊報名參賽，現場也聚集數百名熱情民眾，共同見證這場結合速度創意與環保的精彩競技。
