WUMILE is here to welcome everyone to take part in the Tainan traditional ox-cart dowry tour and enjoy the traditional bowl of rice from 28th January 2017 to 1st February 2017 (first day to fifth day of Chinese New Year), 10am-1pm and 2.30pm-5.30pm, 10 sessions in total for all five days.

菁寮北勢街～嫁妝老街
在清末到民國50年代，當地不只以稻田農作和藍染（清末民初）及草編製品帶動繁榮外，更發展出早期阿公阿嬤的嫁妝品興盛的商店街林立，每種行業皆有數家以上，如：金飾店、囍餅舖、西服店、布行、棉被店、禮服店、皮鞋店、腳踏車店、傢俱工廠、酒家、茶室、飲食館、販仔間旅社、碾米廠、鐘錶店、美容院、冰果部、理髮廳、打鐵店、木桶製作店、戲院、西醫診療所、中藥鋪、家庭五金行、雜貨店、百貨行、磚廠、蓋屋包商、大型菜市場、信用組合會社、輕便車道、公共澡堂、應有盡有。
Jingliao Dowry Old Street
In the late Qing Dynasty to the 50 years after Republic of China, in order to develop the district, the local people were not only concentrate on farming, blue dying (late Qing Dynasty) and making straw products but they were also putting their efforts to promote dowry products and the district was flourished by various shops, such as gold shop, cake shop, suit shop, cloth shop, quilts shop, dress shop, shoe shop, bicycle shop, furniture factory, restaurant, budget hostels, rice mill, watch shop , beauty salon, ice shop, barber shop, caskets production shops, cinemas, Western clinics, Chinese medicine shop, hardware, grocery stores, department stores, Credit portfolio clubs, light lanes, public bathrooms and so forth.
【台南市後壁商圈菁寮嫁妝老街金雞年有囍了】，融入台南嫁妝一牛車，讓菁寮無米樂農村的年輕子孫，願意回到阿公阿嬤的家，舉辦菁寮古老嫁妝一牛車活動，讓來菁寮農村的賀客鄉親一起妝扮來敲鑼打鼓，挑大餅，挑花轎，醒獅，挑嫁妝品，以菁寮老農村嫁娶的迎親隊伍來祝賀新人，大家自娛又可娛人，常常可讓老舊菁寮農村的鞭炮聲熱鬧景象風華再現，體驗感恩割稻飯的囍宴，導覽菁寮嫁粧文化老街古蹟，稻米文化館，農村生活體驗博物館，墨林文物館，無米樂荷蘭井湧泉民宿，採購農村伴手禮，提升老舊菁寮農村常態性的鄉親喜慶活動社區營造，帶動社區農村再生，文化觀光，社會企業的經濟發展永續經營。
【Houbi Shopping District-Mega happiness for the 2017 Rooster year】, in order to encourage the youngsters to come back to their home village, WUMILE homestay has organised this event to allow everyone to dress up as the traditional bride and groom, beat drum, carry the cake, sedan chair, perform lion dance, choose dowry and so forth to congratulate the new husband and wife. Meanwhile, the people can entertain each other, experience the lively scene in Jingliao, have a bowl of thanks-giving rice, touring around the old street and select some local souvenirs for their loves one. This is also to develop the village by improving its local economy.

The elders and youths in Jingliao village are guarding the last piece of green land in Taiwan with their determination and persistance. The beauty, simple and friendliness of the commnuity are disseminated to the tourists.
菁寮農村追求真正的卓越，請大家多多鼓舞與打氣，在老農民社區裡，老中青少世代交替中，社區由下往上的社造，一步步自主性發展及鼓勵自費投資在地產業，開發農村文創觀光事業，開拓貧瘠農村經濟，創造在地就業機會，留住在地青壯年所努力的痕跡，將祖先所留下來的老舊文化資產，一代接一代的永續經營，讓菁寮庄發光發熱。
The old and young generation in Jingliao village are trying their best to step forward to develop their home village through the development of tourism industry which create job opportunities. It is also to maintain and sustain the treasurable heritage from the ancient times.
光陰如梭，我們在無米樂荷蘭井湧泉民宿的國際志工生活即將來到尾聲。對我們來說，這段日子不僅僅是單純的志工活動，更是一段長達一個半月的豐收節。在這裏，我們化身為農夫小幫手，農耕、拔蘿蔔、製作菜脯都不在話下。在無米樂農村的生活體驗讓我們感受到了滿滿的人情味，並找回讓自己最放鬆寫意的生活節奏。縱使外界高樓林立，這裏還是當地人的世外桃源，也是許多上班族久違的伊甸園。
Time flies when we are having fun as our lives in WUMILE has finally came to an end. For us, this is not just a ordinary volunteering program, but it is also a memorable and relaxing one. We are the assistants of farmers. We are proud of ourselves now as we have experiences in harvesting and producing pickled radish. The people here are very friendly and helpful. Although it would be more convenient in the cities, this is a place where we can find our happinesses and for us, it is our netherlands.
無米樂農村，再見了！讓我們衷心期盼下一次的相遇，相信到時候的妳會變得更絢麗璀璨。

[ save our own village ] Mr. Huang Yong Quan, as a community planner of Jing Liao, feeling grateful for everyone who visit and report about his hometown - Tainan Houbi Area WUMILE~the maintenance and inheritance of heritage of the village, and the efforts of the villagers and youths who further their study out of the states. The development of WUMILE is based on the concept of social enterprise and it is adhered to the concept of not burdening the government - contribute to the society as we gain from the society.

Mr. Huang Yong Quan also welcomes everyone to stay at the only legal home stay in Jing Liao community. The highlight would be the San Ho Yuan, the experience of exploring and staying in a village that exist for about 300 years and more, the local traditional food, DIY arts and the local souvenirs.
