泛著淡紫色的小花開滿樹，每年的三四月是苦楝花的季節，苗栗縣頭屋國中趁著花季舉辦苦楝花活動，有室內有戶外，動靜都有，全校師生寓教於樂。

頭國中每年在春暖花開的時節舉辦苦楝花活動，讓學生在一成不變的求學生活當中多了一些趣味及增進團體合作的精神，苦楝花期雖然短暫，但記憶卻是永恆的。
