從初來乍到到如今的漸漸習慣菁寮無米樂農村緩慢卻也寫意的步調，我們在這個小村莊生活了將近一個月。在這短短的幾個星期裡，我們體會到了許許多多和以往不一樣的生活和文化。這一切就仿佛經歷了一場短促卻美好的夢，美得讓人不想醒過來。
Spanning the past few weeks, we experienced cultures that are totally different from our lives.
平日，我們在無米樂的生活也不會枯燥乏味，這就得歸功於到訪無米樂課外教學的國小同學們。放風箏、踢足球、拔蘿蔔、體驗菁寮嫁妝一牛車。這一切農村的趣味體驗不但讓他們覺得相當新鮮，也使得伴著他們一齊玩樂的我們徹底享受了一回童年。說實話，我們都不記得距離上一次放風箏是何夕的事了，更別說拔蘿蔔這種從未嘗試過的活動。對於長期生活在城市的我們來說這的確是身心靈的最佳調劑品。
Our lives in WUMILE would never boring even when it is weekdays. The children from diffrent elementary schools always visit WUMILE as their co-curriculum activities. They experience the activities in village such as playing the kites, footballs and harvest radish...Both of us enjoy the moment with them thoroughly since these are the activities that we rarely got the chance to try. It is indeed the best gifts for us who have a long-time living in city.
假日的無米樂可就熱鬧了！不僅僅是本土的遊客，來自世界各國的遊客們也都接踵而至。如果說平日的無米樂是一本讓人悉心品味的書，那假日的她就是一部引人入勝的電影。雖然假日裏大家都忙得不可開交，但是當我們看到遊客們開心地體驗菁寮著名的嫁妝一牛車、親口品嘗及稱讚由社區媽媽們所準備的割稻飯，頓時覺得所有努力與辛苦都是值得的。
WUMILE is very crowded during weekends and holiday because there will be many tourists from all over the world to visit this village. Although it was very busy, the effort and time we put on is worth when we knew that the tourists are enjoying for what we did.
除了接待形形色色的遊客，我們背後的故事也相當精彩。在即將跨入新的一年，我們見識到了荷蘭井湧泉民宿客滿的盛況。在那之前，我們的準備工作可是能夠為人生的履歷表添上濃濃的一筆－打掃客房、整理床鋪、風箏、花布。。另外不得不提的就是我們竟然有機會全程參與古早味菜脯的製作。
Besides dealing with the tourists, our stories behind are quite interesting too. We have witnessed the full house situation when it comes to year end. Before that, we have prepared many stuffs such as cleaning the room, preparing kites for kids and the traditional table cloth for meal. Also, we are honored enough to take part in the process of producing pickled radish.
據記載，菁寮老街在古早時候就是鹽水港到嘉義的必經通商要道。雖然如今盛況不如從前，但經過無米樂社區一群長輩們的努力，她正努力地恢復昔日的榮光，慢慢地綻放著屬於自己的芬芳。
According to the history, Jingliao street was the route that must be passed through from Yanshui Port to Chiayi for business purpose. Today, Jingliao is slowly turning back to its prosperity and glory times due to the efforts of the elders here.

[ save our own village ] Mr. Huang Yong Quan, as a community planner of Jing Liao, feeling grateful for everyone who visit and report about his hometown - Tainan Houbi Area WUMILE~the maintenance and inheritance of heritage of the village, and the efforts of the villagers and youths who further their study out of the states. The development of WUMILE is based on the concept of social enterprise and it is adhered to the concept of not burdening the government - contribute to the society as we gain from the society.

Mr. Huang Yong Quan also welcomes everyone to stay at the only legal home stay in Jing Liao community. The highlight would be the San Ho Yuan, the experience of exploring and staying in a village that exist for about 300 years and more, the local traditional food, DIY arts and the local souvenirs.
