透過影像紀錄龍眼國小的發展，當地耆老訪談拼湊出了59年校史的脈絡，偏鄉問題及少子化正不斷的衝擊到這些山區小小學，哪一所又是下一個龍眼國小，沒有人知道，卻總有跡可循。緬懷前人一鋤一擔的建起學校，為的是後世子弟就學的權利，當畫下休止符時，留下的只有不滅的磚瓦與共同的回憶。也許哪一年山區重返繁華，廢校再度復校，但是時間沙漏要滴多久，沒有人知道
