Don't be homeless when you are in Taipei, Taiwan. Because last year, the councilor of Taipei city ordered street cleaning trucks to spary water on the ground where homeless were sleeping, & this year, they plan to chase homeless like stray dogs. Words are heard from the city council:
-"Homeless people should be taking away from the city at night, to the Yangmingshan mountain."
-"Most of the homeless are potential mental disorder."
-"Homeless are like stray dogs, if you feed them, there will be more of them."
On Wednesday afternoon, May 28, several representatives of citizen groups went protest to the Taipei city council. They are asking the city council to apologize for the unjust proposals & pay more attention to the housing problems & lacks of job.
-"Homeless are people! homeless are citizens, too!" as they shout out.
But we only saw citizen groups stopped by a team of city police at the entrance.
日前，台北市議員王正德於台北市政府社會局進行遊民專案報告的會議上，公開指稱「遊民很多是潛在神經病」、「輔導遊民就像餵野狗一樣，會越餵越多」、「晚上送街友上陽明山，早上再放下來散步」，引起宣然大波。對於王正德歧視城市貧民言論，台灣酷兒權益推動聯盟於上月發起「街友是人，也是公民」連署行動，要求王正德議員為不當言論道歉，已獲得眾多民間團體及公民的連署支持。踐踏城市貧民的言論，不能縱容！趕在台北市議員初選民調之前的最後一次議會大會，5/28下午，數個公民團體將到台北市議會抗議，遞連署書，要求台北市議會紀律委員會作出懲處，並要求王正德必須正式道歉。我們不止割爛委，也割爛議員！
