This rain! Custard apple growers’ frustration and bitterness

   The winter season is meant to be time of low precipitation, but in the
Hualien-Taitung area of eastern Taiwan it has continued to rain continuously,
which has resulted in damage to many agricultural products. In Taitung, entry
into winter marks the beginning of harvest time for custard apples, but days
of heavy rain forced growers to rush the harvest. Unfortunately, the large
quantity of custard apples that swamped the market has caused prices to plummet
leaving farmers frustrated and bitter.

這雨！釋迦果農的無奈與辛酸

季節進入冬季，原本應該是降雨少的時節，但台灣東部的花東卻連續下起大雨，這讓許多
農產遭受到嚴重的損害。像是台東冬季進入盛產的釋迦，正要採收卻面臨連日大雨，讓釋
迦農急著搶收。但大批搶收的釋迦進入市場，又造成價格的爆跌，讓農民是苦不堪言。
