Cape Paradise – Life Artist

On the east coast of Hualian County you’ll find the ‘Cape Workshop’, the home of self-trained driftwood artist Huang Tian-you.  He loves his land, being close to nature and is brimming with paternal love. He believes that too many of today’s products are mass produced and hopes that allowing children to learn simple wood sculpting techniques, the memory of one’s childhood can be retained, turning driftwood into an important educational tool, turning driftwood into a pill for space-time travel, retaining the delight of one’s childhood years.

花蓮縣東海岸有一幢「海角工作室」，這是黃天佑一手打造的漂流木家園。他熱愛土地，喜愛親近大自然，隨著孩子的出生，黃天佑以滿滿的父愛，讓漂流木成為保留童年歡樂的時空膠囊。他認為，生活物品中很多都是開模量產的，若能讓兒童透過簡單的生活木工創作，來保留童年的記憶，可以讓這些生活物品更具有教育價值。
