Looking back at the history of epidemic prevention shows the importance of public health education
While Covid-19 raged, pandemic prevention measures were a hot topic; however, the achievements of today's successful pandemic prevention measures have been developed step by step over many years. The history of Taiwan's epidemic prevention is being exhibited at National Taiwan Museum's Railway Department Park. The exhibition aims to highlight achievements made in epidemic prevention and understand the process of epidemic prevention in Taiwan.
With the advancement of science and technology, the establishment of the public health system has also greatly improved the effectiveness of epidemic prevention. With a basic knowledge of public health, the public will take the initiative to cooperate with epidemic prevention policy so that governments and people can work together to fight epidemics. However, an effective public health system cannot be achieved overnight. In addition to education and promotion, the education model should be changed in response to the times. It is only through public health education from childhood that Taiwanese people will spontaneously put on masks in the face of an epidemic.
