Troupe coach helps kids with developmental delays realize their stage dreams
For the average person, using stilts and unicycles requires a basic degree of balance and concentration, but for kids with developmental delays, it requires a colossal investment of time and effort. Wang Guang-hua (王光華) has decades of stage experience and is a disciple of Lee Tang-hua (李棠華), known as the father of acrobatic performance in Taiwan. He hopes that through performance training, he can use his experience and skills to help kids with developmental delays
Committed to promoting equal rights in the arts, Wang Guang-hua strongly believes in giving disadvantaged groups the same rights and opportunities to express themselves as everyone else. Wang Guang-hua says that while helping kids with developmental delays to perform on stage, he has witnessed the light and passion radiating from their eyes. He says that seeing the power of such performances to profoundly move audiences is the most beautiful thing in the world.
