PeoPo Video Workshop strengthens reporting skills
Each year, PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform hosts a two-day video workshop, inviting citizen journalists with basic video production skills to come and learn more advanced shooting and writing skills.
This year, teachers led students to "San-Chong Village No.1" to discuss the culture of military dependents’ villages in Taiwan. Inside the massive park, students were given a guided tour to learn about the history and culture of the village and experience the underground tunnels, providing them with plenty of interesting topics to report on.
After a short half-day’s filming, the participants were asked to complete their report within a limited time. A 12-year-old citizen journalist worked alongside other participants on this challenge to shoot and edit a video report in lighting time. After completing the challenge, the room was full of laughter as participants presented their finished reports and shared what they had learned from the workshop.
