PeoPo Your Shoot captures the restoration of Tainan Park

Tainan Park has a hundred years of history and is the largest green space in Tainan City, providing a valuable location for people to hang out and go for walks as well as a well-equipped children's playground where parents and kids can enjoy quality time together. Moreover, thanks to the diligent effort of Tainan Community University in cultivating Bauhinia variegata, aka the orchid tree, each year the park is transformed into a sea of purple blooms that attracts many visitors.

In this latest Your Shoot event, PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform teamed up with Tainan Community University. The community university's coordinator came to share with participating citizen journalists a variety of ecological problems facing the park that lie hidden beneath the seemingly lush green foliage. Tainan Community University hopes people using the park will begin to cherish and protect the natural environment to maintain the health and vigor of plants.

擁有百年歷史的台南公園是台南市區最大的公園綠地，也是民眾散步休憩的主要場所。公園裡也設有各式遊樂設施提供親子們玩樂嬉戲，但在看似綠意盎然的公園裡卻藏著許多隱憂。

透過台南社大一點一滴的努力成功培植羊蹄甲，每年花季綻放出粉紅花海成為台南的賞花景點。PeoPo公民新聞平台也與台南社大合作，共同舉辦踹拍活動由台南社大專員帶領公民記者認識台南公園的生態危機。台南社大希望民眾在使用公園時，能愛護自然環境讓公園裡的植物能繼續生氣蓬勃。
