Boiled dumpling shop kindles career hopes for local women

A handmade vegetarian dumpling shop located near Daxi Old Street uses locally sourced produce to make delicious dumplings packed with the zest of nature, while at the same time providing local women with employment. Co-founder of Sunshine Kitchen, Huang Gui-chun (黃桂春), is a strong advocate of helping others and utilizes her entrepreneurial skills to make a difference. She not only cares deeply about the lives and feelings of her employees but also conveys health and happiness through her delicious dumplings.

Huang Gui-chun encourages kitchen employees to use the shop as a steppingstone for their job hunting. Some ex-employees have gone on to secure jobs at the Dept. of Land Administration and Chunghwa Telecom, and some have even become managers in franchise stores.
