Vietnam-Chiayi Culture House promotes cultural exchange

It is noon at "Vietnam-Chiayi Culture House,” and a group of friends is busily preparing lunch. Located in Chiayi’s Minxiong Township, Vietnam-Chiayi Culture House is not only a venue for exchange between Taiwanese and Vietnamese people but also assists Vietnamese people in dealing with everyday life issues.

In recent years, more and more people from Southeast Asia have immigrated to Taiwan, the highest percentage of who come from Vietnam. With lots of traditional Vietnamese items inside, Vietnam-Chiayi Culture House is not only a home away from home where Vietnamese friends can hang out and chat but is also facilitating the spread of Vietnamese culture in Taiwan.

中午時間，一群人正忙著煮菜。位於嘉義縣民雄鄉的「越在嘉文化棧」，這裡平時除了是一個提供台灣人與越南人交流的場所外，同時也提供來台越南人生活上的協助。

近年來，台灣有愈來愈多東南亞的新住民在台灣生活，以東南亞國家來說，越南的比例最高。平時越在嘉文化棧會有一些越南朋友來聊天，裡面也放了許多越南傳統的物品，讓在台灣的越南人有回到家的感覺，也讓台灣更多人可以認識到更多有關越南文化的地方。
