Fresh News Recruits Sign Up for PeoPo Internship

With the summer upon us, countless college students are seizing this rare opportunity to take part in all kinds of activities. Each year, PTS’s PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform raises summer internship programs to lead such students in the direction of becoming outstanding citizen journalists. Open to all students, regardless of their major, PeoPo internships equip students with the techniques of citizen news reporting, enabling them to walk out of the campus and into their communities, voicing out on important grassroots issues.

In July of this year, 54 students from 40 different faculties around the country came to participate in the 9th PeoPo Summer Internship. Interestingly enough, over 80 percent of students attending the program are currently pursuing majors in non-media fields, indicating the sheer diversity of students following the trend towards citizen journalism.

暑假來臨，許多大學生趁著難得的長假，安排五花八門的活動，而PeoPo公民新聞平台每年也會舉辦暑期實習營隊，帶領這些年輕學子，成為優秀的學生公民記者，不論傳播或非傳播科系同學都可以在實習營精進公民報導的技巧，將自己關心的事件報導出來，喚起更多年輕人走出校園，一起關心這個世界。

今年是第九屆的PeoPo大專公民記者暑期實習營，七月份共有54位來自台灣各地40多個不同系所的同學報名參加。更特別的是，其中有8成以上的同學皆非出身傳播科系，可以看出公民新聞多元化的走向趨勢。
