The ‘2012 Cancer Patients Motorcycle Island Tour’, which has taken over six months of careful preparation, will include twenty participants and twenty volunteers - a total of forty participating members. The group, which is on the eve of beginning the tour – planned departure 12th February, Kaohsiung – are about to embark on an eight-day- 1075 Km challenge. The idea for the journey originated with one breast cancer sufferer who approached the group of friends with her plan, to realize a dream and at the same time encourage other cancer sufferers to be positive in the face of cancer. Making an island tour is a dream most people dare not to try. However, through mutual support and great courage this group is going to take their strong spirit the length and breadth of Taiwan. Taiwanese are being asked to give the group lots of support on their tour.

2012「癌症病友機車環島活動」，經過半年的細心籌備，20位癌友及陪伴志工團共
40多位成員，即將於2月12日於高雄出發，運用八天的時間挑戰1075公里的環島路程。癌症病友機車環島活動，緣起於一位來自高雄乳癌病友的願望，透過
她的心願串連起其他的癌友，凝聚成大大的夢想，挑戰機車環島旅程，鼓勵自己與大家走出去，把這份愛傳出去。環島是很多平常人不敢做的夢，但是透過癌友們彼
此鼓勵、勇敢追夢，以行動將愛轉動到全台各地每個角落，公民記者呼籲大家，一起為他們加油。
