PeoPo’s Northern Citizen Journalists Gathering 2011

On the 24th September, PTS’s PeoPo News Platform held the eagerly-awaited Northern Citizen Journalists Gathering. A group of participants took an in-depth tour of PTS and personally sat in on the recording of PeoPo News in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the television production process.

For the afternoon gathering, six citizen journalists were specially invited to share their views and experience: CJ’s included Gongyi, A-Ben, Kino, Hehe, Oliver101. This collected group of CJ’s came from all over Taiwan, including Taichung, Chiayi, Hsinchu and the various areas in and around Taipei. They shared a wealth of knowledge including how to find news interviews and choose topical stories, as well as their valuable filming experience.

In response to the development of citizen journalism, for the first time PeoPo News invited Consumers' Foundation deputy secretary-general Hsu Tse-yu to the northern gathering. He discussed copyright, image rights and various other legal issues with citizen journalists, which received an incredibly enthusiastic response.

This kind of exchange has allowed citizen journalists to build camaraderie together and helped to fuel the CJ movement. In the near future, similar gatherings are planned for South (Kaohxiung 22nd October), and Central (19th November), so everyone is actively encouraged to enroll online. The citizen journalism movement and the power of the lens, gives you the ability to show your concern for the community.

地方紮根，向外發聲。9月24日公視PeoPo公民新聞平台舉辦北部公民記者聚會，藉由深度導覽公視，瞭解電視台製作流程，並且觀看PeoPo公民新聞報錄製的現場。

下午的聚會，邀請六位公民記者分享，包括公民記者傑利、公義使者、阿Ben、kino、hehe、oliver101等，他們分別來自台中、嘉義、新竹，以及大台北地區，各就新聞採訪，如何找尋議題，以及拍攝的經驗和在場的民眾分享。

因應公民新聞的發展，北部聚會也首次請來擔任消費者文教基金會副秘書長的徐則鈺律師，就著作權、肖像權和相關法律問題和公民記者討論，現場迴響不斷，討論非常熱烈。

 
藉由交流，讓公民記者相互認識和成長。未來PeoPo也將在10月22日南部高雄地區，以及11月19日中部舉辦公民記者聚會，鼓勵大家踴躍上網報名參加，期許我們一起用鏡頭關心在地生活。
