The shop sign for this bookshop is above a beverage outlet, quaintly reading, ‘Second Hand Bookshop’, opened by a young book aficionado, who recently retired from obligatory military service.  When the citizen journalist asked him whether he would make money, the young proprietor replied that rent is not cheap, and customers are few and far between. However he hopes that with the support of people he hopes that they can scrape by. Recently, the shop became a store with no boss and no shop assistants, where customers choose their own book and pay for books with their own discretion. One must ask, isn’t the boss afraid thieves will steal the money and the books? A sign within the shop reads, ‘The boss is out, please read the price for yourself’.  Inside the store, another sign reads that customers should treat the shop like home, and use a laid back and natural approach to enjoy the space. Those who want to get together with friends or just chat are welcome to do so. If you don’t feel like chatting then people are invited to take a book and read to their heart’s content – the whole afternoon if necessary.

One important thing is stressed however, if you do decide to take a book, you are reminded to leave some money so as the space can continue operating into the future. One book lover has touched the hearts of many likeminded book enthusiasts through the opening of this bookstore. To completely trust people to choose the book and pay for it all by themselves, as well as warmly welcome people into the space for chatting or hanging out it remarkable. The wall not surprisingly abounds with messages from customers who have visited and want to express their gratitude. When this kind of store begins to take off and multiply we can safely say that the inner quality of mankind is elevating to new heights, something that will give us all hope for the future.
