Who exactly is to blame for the recent disastrous fire that ripped through ‘Ala’ nightclub and resulted in countless casualties? This is the question that echoes around the city, the thought on everyone’s mind. The citizen journalist involved interviewed Wang-qin, musician at ‘Ala’ nightclub, who shared his knowledge and revealed the real story. Wang-qin feels no option but to speak out on this issue after the proprietors tried to push the blame onto the shoulders of nightclub employees, resulting in an 18-hour interrogation of the club accountant. He revealed that the boss is both arrogant and cocky to tell others of his ‘important connections’ that will allow him to escape taking any responsibility for the blaze.

Wang-qin also highlighted the exceptionally vague regulations for nightclubs and how the bodies responsible for enforcing these relevant laws are anything but acceptable. He also states that we can not only blame the present departments and government administration, but have to look much further back, to a system that over numerous years has consistently failed to make any improvements to the regulatory laws for nightclubs – a fact that is indirectly responsible for this terrible disaster we witness today.

台中夜店「阿拉」發生傷亡慘重的火災，究竟誰該負責？口水聲四起，也引起中市府一陣人事變動。公民記者訪問到在「阿拉」工作的資深樂師王勤，分享他的心得。 王勤的情緒無奈、惶恐又不安，原來災後的法律責任，老闆竟然把責任推卸給員工，店內會計被司法檢察官偵訊十八小時。王勤還說，老闆自恃自己認識高官顯要， 有信心可以逃過一劫。而王勤也表示，夜店相關法令，一直規範的非常模糊，執法單位的確實又有待加強，他認為這不只能歸咎於現任市府官員，而是從許久之前就 延續下來的陋習，一直沒有改善，累積成的惡果。
