國際間倡議「8020運動」，呼籲80歲的長輩至少應保有20顆能正常咀嚼的自然牙，以維持基本的口腔健康。嘉義市政府衛生局2023年舉辦第一屆樂齡勇壯口腔保健選拔活動大受好評，今年續辦並鼓勵長輩主動就醫進行口腔健檢、舉辦潔牙比賽等倡議行動，喚起長者重視口腔健康。
