French Father Tours Taiwan on Folding Bicycle
Pasha, a 65 year-old French yachting teacher and architect, is simply besotted with Asian culture and architecture. He has traveled to Japan seven times, and with each trip lasting two or three months, he has used a folding bike to leave his footprints on all four of the larger islands, notching up an incredible 15000 kilometers. Whilst traveling in Hokkaido Japan, he bumped into two Taiwanese cyclists, cycling travel writer Lin Cun-qing and Jiang Xin-jing who enthusiastically recommended a visit to Taiwan. Pasha’s first stop in Taiwan was Taichung where he visited an old Hakkanese traditional house dating back at least 100 years. The passion of the Taiwanese people and these magnificent pieces of architecture has left a very deep impression on Pasha. His next challenge is the Central Cross-Island Highway, and he plans to stay in Taiwan for another two weeks.
