People with physical and mental disabilities need to maintain muscle tone through rehabilitation, but they can also achieve good results through sports. Adapted Physical Education - a combination of developmental activities, training, games, rhythm, and sports - ensures that young people with physical and mental disabilities are taken seriously and that physical education is no longer just another rehabilitation session. Adapted Physical Education provides interaction between children with disabilities and their classmates to not only strengthen their bodies but also promote communication with others.

In addition to physical limitations, a lack of knowledge and resources for people with physical and mental disabilities in Taiwan has also resulted in a lack of opportunities to engage in sports. If we wish to rectify the situation, it will be necessary for all sectors of the community to work together to create a more friendly, barrier-free sports environment.
