Joining hands to clean rivers and reduce trash at the source
Raft Creek, aka Fazi Creek, is the mother river of Taichung, whose basin has a rich ecological landscape. In the past, it was the domain of the Plains indigenous peoples, who named it Raft Creek due to their widespread use of bamboo rafts.
However, on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait, there is a considerable amount of accumulated trash at the mouth of each river. With garbage flowing from the river to the sea, we need to start intercepting and removing garbage from the streams where we live, especially from Raft Creek, which is a vast river basin. To maintain clean, pollution-free rivers in our modern cities, we must start reducing garbage at the source.
