Mobile library in Sangu Village

Every other Sunday afternoon, Tainan City Library's mobile library promptly appears at the Longde Temple in the Sangu Village in Tainan's Chigu District to provide book loans and return services to remote areas.

In recent years, people's reading habits have changed due to the popularity of mobile devices, so the selection of books is no simple matter. Despite this, the city library endeavors to provide new books that meet the needs of local schools and local residents. Cultural literacy takes time, so, fortunately, for the Yancheng Branch of Tainan City Library, performance is not the only consideration. The fact this mobile library has continued to provide services to culturally disadvantaged areas for many years is something that deserves our wholehearted support and recognition.

三股聚落的行動圖書車

每個隔週日的下午，台南市立圖書館行動圖書車都會準時出現在台南市七股區三股聚落的龍德宮，為較偏遠的地區提供借書還書的服務。

近年來由於行動裝置普及民眾閱讀習慣改變，如何選書也是一門大學問，市圖會找一些新書且符合當地學校教育的的書籍，另外也會儘量滿足居民的需求。文化素養必須慢慢累積，所幸台南市立圖書館鹽埕分館，並不以績效為唯一考量，持續為文化弱勢地區提供服務，值得支持與肯定。
