Reconnecting with Keelung through the sound of the sea

Keelung was a prosperous port city in the early days of Taiwan's history. Later, its seaside location hampered further development and other towns superseded it. The city recently held an expo with the theme of "Living, Livelihood, and Life" to help people envision Keelung's infinite room for growth despite its coastal location.

In recent years, Keelung has not only created a park by utilizing household trash as a fill material for a land reclamation project but also designed ocean-oriented exhibitions, presenting an entirely different side of Keelung's beauty to the public. Such exhibitions can hopefully help highlight Keelung's uniqueness to the public and convince local fishermen that there are other ways to make a living besides fishing.

海之聲讓你重新認知基隆

基隆是座三面環海的城市，也是台灣早期最繁盛的都市，因三面環海，發展不易，而被其他城市取代其繁盛榮景。基隆舉辦城市博覽會，以生存生活與生命為主題，讓人們了解，基隆雖三面環海，亦有其無限大的發展空間。

基隆將垃圾往海邊倒，竟倒出一片公園，這次博覽會，也設計海上觀展，讓人們了解，除陸地觀展外，亦可從海上看回陸地，發現其不同之美。城市博覽，除讓人們瞭解基隆外，也讓在地漁民認知，他們不僅能捕魚，亦有其他生存技能。
