Citizen journalism success stories - Zhong li Community College shares its experience

From the outset, PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform has striven to build deep roots within communities and help people speak out on grassroots issues. Since the philosophy of community colleges is to work within communities to promote civil society, something very much in harmony with the spirit of PeoPo, we have always viewed community colleges as essential partners in advancing citizen journalism. Over the years, community colleges across Taiwan have offered courses related to citizen journalism - one such success story is the citizen journalism courses at Chungli Community College (中壢社區大學).

PeoPo公民新聞平台的精神是在地深根、向外發聲，這與社區大學貼近在地，促進公民社會的理念不謀而合。因此PeoPo在推廣公民新聞的時候，一直把社區大學列為很重要的合作伙伴。而這麼多年來其實社大陸陸續續開了不少關於公民新聞、公民記者的相關課程，而這當中經營公民新聞相當成功的就是中壢社區大學。
