Longgang Rice Noodle Festival - where exotic Yunnan meets Myanmar

Unlike the culture of the Yunnan region, the Yunnan culture in Longgang, Taoyuan City, is a blend of Thai and Myanmar culture, forming a unique Yunnan-Myanmar flavor. Every year, various events of all sizes are held to promote this Yunnan-Myanmar culture, the biggest of which is Longgang Rice Noodle Festival (米干節).

Full of exotic flavors, the origins of the Yunnan-Myanmar culture stem from KMT soldiers (異域孤軍) who retreated from Yunnan to Thailand and Myanmar during the Chinese Civil War and eventually migrated to Taiwan. The resulting Yunnan-Myanmar culture is now unique to Longgang, Taoyuan.

  桃園市龍岡米干節蘊含濃厚的雲南文化，與雲南地區文化不同的是，桃園市龍岡的雲南文化融合了泰國、緬甸的文化，形成特有的滇緬文化。每年都會舉辦各種大大小小的活動，就是為了讓滇緬文化可以被大家看見，而其中最盛大的活動就是米干節。

  穿起雲南獨特的手工製服裝跳起打歌舞，充滿異域風情的雲南滇緬文化，其實是源自於國共內戰時期，被稱為「異域孤軍」的這群人，從雲南撤退到泰國及緬甸，再一路撤退來到台灣所帶來的文化，才形成了現在桃園龍岡特有的雲南滇緬文化。
