Island Hopping Plan

Two recent university graduates, concerned about the impact of global warming, have come up with the novel ‘Island Hopping Plan’.  They intend to spend 6 months traveling all over nine island nations of the Pacific Ocean in order to remind people of the future influence of global warming.  They are currently at Taipei Arts Village holding a jumble sale to raise necessary travel funds.  If the plan is successful then they intend to film all their encounters along the way and turn it into a documentary and possibly a book.  The hope is to raise the profile of small island nations that are becoming more and more at risk from rising sea levels.

環浪計畫

關心地球暖化議題，兩位大學剛畢業的年輕人，提出了環浪計畫，要用半年的時間，走遍南太平洋的九個島國，提醒更多人重視氣候變遷的影響。日前他們在台北華山藝文特區舉辦二手物品義賣，籌募旅費，而未來如果環浪計畫可以實現，他們也將把旅途中的所見所聞透過影像紀錄，拍攝成紀錄片，並且出書，讓更多人可以了解海平面上升對於島嶼小國的衝擊。
