2015年開始，台北市政府開始推動田園城市，藉都市農耕達到永續發展，因此屋頂農園變成熱門的農田趣選項。曾是竹科工程師的蔣宜成，因熱愛種植，現其推廣的空中菜園是善用屋頂空間，以可拆式、具透氣結構、可調高度的種菜箱種植農作。
