「眠腦」翻譯而來的。
舊太平山森林的開發，於民國三年（日本大正三年）台灣總督府著手開展伐木作業，
後來陸續興建森林鐵路至土場，當林場大規模採伐時，即開始架設索道及山地鐵路（即現稱之蹦蹦車），大部份已拆除，只存留部分舊跡。
照片
「眠腦」經大規模採伐,五千年也難回復原本生態。
