PeoPo Summer Internship: Sowing the seeds of future citizen journalists
Over the course of this year’s summer vacation, PeoPo Summer Internship trained close to 100 young citizen journalists. This year, participating students produced nuanced, touching reports on everything from hometown issues and the Hong Kong street protests to parent-child relationships.
Following the summer internship, some students will continue to actively produce CJ reports, while others, for a variety of reasons, will drift away from it. However, regardless of what happens after the course, PeoPo Summer Internship is a life-changing experience that builds civic consciousness and empowers people to contribute to society. We hope that every young seedling sprouting forth from PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform will continue to thrive and voice out on grassroots issues long into the future.
