Capturing the beauty of nature through illustration

Due to the development of science and technology and the busy lifestyles we live nowadays, people have very few opportunities to interact with nature. For the artist Xu Jia-wei (許家瑋), a native of Guangfu Village in Taizhong’s Wufeng District, nature was a big part of her life growing up, and she is very familiar with Taiwan’s natural environment. Using illustration and her own unique perspective on nature, Jia-wei leads everyone into her forest world.

Through her art, Jia-wei is helping people to rekindle childhood memories of nature and bringing to life the most stunning and distinctive sides of the natural world. Jia-wei's paintings are imbued with the life force and vitality of nature and remind us all what a truly beautiful world we inhabit.

現今由於科技的發達，加上大多數人平日工作繁忙，與大自然的互動是少之又少。家在台中霧峰光復新村的許家瑋老師，從小就在大自然中生長，所以對於大自然的一切是最為熟悉的，因此透過插畫的方式，以自己的角度，一同帶領大家前往叢林的世界。

一方面帶領大家尋找兒時對於大自然的回憶，另一方面也將大自然最為驚艷與獨特的一面呈現給大家。老師的作畫顯現了大自然充滿生氣的生命力，也能從老師的畫中看見世界是多麽美好。
