Breaking through language barriers with tailored music therapy

The melodious sound of music is an indispensable aid to relaxation and stress relief. Music therapy, which requires professional certification in foreign countries, uses tailor-made courses to help release inner feelings, enhance communication skills, and improve memory. Effective music therapy includes several stages: first, a patient's condition, abilities, and personality are evaluated; then, flashcard-style props are used to get patients in touch with their inner feelings; finally, improvised music, listening, and feedback sessions are employed to help patients vent their emotions.
