People with learning disabilities learn to cook through play

The Extraordinary Delicious Food Laboratory (不凡美味實驗所) is a series of bakery teaching aids for people with learning disabilities. The teaching aids aim to maximize cognitive function through a systematic series of fun game-like steps.

Adhering to the principle of “making people with learning disabilities aware of the why” and abandoning the current fast and convenient mainstream design, the teaching aids use a process of “experimentation” to help disabled users absorb information, have fun, and hopefully, gradually learn to do the things that ordinary people take for granted. Incorporating novel patterns, a cute external appearance, tasty looking colors, and ease of operation, the teaching aids are sure to stimulate the interest of those with learning disabilities.

「不凡美味實驗所」是一個為智能障礙者族群所設計的烘培教學輔具。希望能利用這款教學工具，讓智能障礙者能以遊戲的方式烘培，在快樂的心情中完成步驟，進而促進他們的思考、最大限度地達到智能上限。

秉持著「不希望智能障礙者不知道為什麼要這樣做」的想法，捨棄目前快速而便捷的設計主流，希望在智能障礙者能在使用產品的過程中「實驗」，在做中慢慢學習、玩樂間吸收，做到普通人也能做到的事情。整個產品的設計圍繞在圖案以及顏色上，藉由逗趣可愛的外型、看起來能引起食慾的顏色，以及簡單的操作方式，激發智能障礙者的興趣。
