Yilan introduces mobile ozone dry cleaning service for vulnerable groups

Due to the damp and rainy climate of Yilan, seniors living alone and those with mobility issues who are unable to care for themselves face health issues caused by bacteria and bed mites in their bedding and clothes. To address this issue, Yilan County Government has introduced a mobile ozone sterilization service.

The clean clothes are put on hangers and placed inside the dry cleaning vehicle for ten minutes of ozone disinfection, before being dried with hot air. Once cool, the clothes are taken out, and a special vacuum cleaner is used to remove the dander and dust mites on the surface before storing. Roaming residential areas and community organizations in Yilan, the mobile dry-cleaning vehicle eliminates damp bedding issues, so that even when the weather is cold and wet, these vulnerable groups can get a sound sleep.

In the future, the service will be promoted throughout communities and cooperate with home service units to ensure that Yilan residents can eliminate dampness issues from clothing and bedding and improve their quality of life.
