Saving lives and sending love to East Africa
In an ordinary warehouse located in the backstreets of Taipei, a group of compassionate volunteers sorts out shoes, clothes, and bags donated by the public before delivering them in person to East Africa. Since its establishment in 2014, Step 30 (舊鞋救命) has sent more than 100 shipping containers full of goods to East Africa, and the shipping containers have been converted into classrooms and clinics for local communities.
Aside from collecting second-hand goods, Step 30 has also implemented various programs to help develop local communities in East Africa, such as Love·Binti, Living Water, and the Kuku Project. It is hoped that teaching skills will assist more locals in becoming self-sufficient in the future.
