Protecting & promoting mountain village culture
Mountain villages are a union of human habitation zones and mountain forests. Despite the abundant natural resources and unique local culture and customs, such villages are gradually being engulfed by concrete due to urban development. The "Sustainable Mountain Villages Project” is trying to help villagers preserve unique local characteristics and resources by creating a green economy that integrates the cultural and creative industries.
By combining local natural resources with local industries and the cooperation of industry, government, and academia in the biotechnology field, profits from local goods can be used to develop tribal villages. Promoting the local culture and products of mountain villages drives the economy of mountain tribes and provides a way to retain the gradually declining traditional industries and tribal culture.
