Luzhou eco-artist gives trash a new lease of life
Eco-artist Chen Zhong-qing (陳忠清) has been working in environmental protection for many years and become a model for eco-friendly living by using everyday waste materials to transform his home. What’s more, he has set up a 2nd-hand revamp studio to teach people how to get started in environmental protection. Though Chen Zhong-qing feels making home decorations with waste materials is a worthwhile endeavor, with limited space at home, it’s hard to find places for all those decorations; therefore, he recommends also making practical things related to day-to-day living that can be used for a long time. Such items are not only useful in everyday life but also help us save money, which means more money in the bank.
Chen Zhong-qing’s creative handmade arts and crafts leave a deep impression on people. His persistence and continuous innovation over the years has taught everyone that environmental protection isn’t only about recycling, but also about utilizing waste materials in our everyday life.
