Shihu Township Recreative Project reconnects the city’s history
Following the demolition of a familiar old landmark building, a group of young people studying architecture decided to return home and launch Shihu Township Recreative Project, which is endeavoring to gradually revive the culture of Shihu through field studies, camps, hands-on renovation of old buildings, and various other activities.
Though Shihu may not be well known to the public, its old buildings bear testimony to the area’s vibrant past. Shihu Township Recreative Project is finding new innovative ways to preserve its old buildings and mobilizing individuals interested in unearthing the area's rich history. In the future, there is bound to be lots of fascinating developments and activities in Shihu.

從小熟悉的街景在怪手破壞下夷為平地,讓一群就讀建築系的青年決定回到家鄉。於是發起了「溪湖中街再生計畫」,從田野調查開始,帶營隊、辦活動,也實際著手整修老建築,一步步重新拾起溪湖的歷史記憶。
