Don’t be afraid of stray dogs!
Taiwan Animal Equality Association promotes people-canine interaction
What should you do if you are chased by a stray dog while cycling or walking in the riverside park? To put an end to such fears, in 2017, Taiwan Animal Equality Association raised “Happy Dogs, Happy People,” a project that uses large-scale board games and online games to educate the public on how to interact with stray dogs safely. Holding signs in their hands, volunteers explain to people safe methods of interacting with stray dogs, what to do if stray dogs become hostile, and how to use gestures and body language to stabilize the behavior of stray dogs, etc.
From child to adult, from community to society, the practice of animal equality starts from the moment we begin to open a friendly space and build a safe environment, little by little creating a positive feedback loop. Taiwan Animal Equality Association sincerely hopes that you will participate in this event, donate money to support animal rights education, and become a guardian of animals.
