民國44 大陳島民全數撤退到台灣，其中一批居民到花蓮，並建立大陳一二村，本片選擇拍攝的地為大陳一村。隨著 時代變遷,大陳一村也產生極大的變化，有些習俗也漸漸流失，本片藉由影像保存的手法，將大陳一村的歷史保存下 。
