Since 2014, care activities for senior citizens have been held every two months in Nantou’s Chung-hsing Senior High School, allowing senior citizens to enter the campus during weekends and participate in fun activities organized by the school. With a rich and diverse selection of activities running the gamut from sports and music to singing and health care knowledge, Chung-hsing Senior High School is a place brimming with the spirit of care and joint learning. This has transformed the school into not just a place for student learning but also where local seniors can learn and participate in various activities, proving that age is just a number and that you can, in fact, teach old dogs new tricks.

南投縣中興高中的耆老關懷活動,從103年起,透過每學期為兩個月的耆老活動,讓社區老人走進校園,在周末時間於學校舉辦耆老關懷活動,課程內容包羅萬象,從專業體適能運動課程到樂器學習及歌曲教唱,以及健康護理常識分享,中興高中將在地關懷與互動的精神,發揮到了淋漓盡致,也讓學校在社區的腳色定位上,不僅僅只是一座莘莘學子學習的場所,更是社區銀髮長輩們假日能更活動的場域,也實踐了「老,不應是煩惱,老,更值得照顧好。」的精神。
