2017 PeoPo Citizen Journalism Symposium (Session 4)- The Future of Citizen Journalism over the next Decade

The 2017 PeoPo Citizen Journalism Symposium not only focused on developments in citizen journalism over the last decade but also invited scholars and experts to deliberate potential developments in the future. The 4th session of the symposium invited representatives from the academic, media, and social movement fields to put forward their ideas and aspirations on “The Future of Citizen Journalism over the next Decade.” The exchanges generated a great deal of fascinating and thought-provoking feedback and have provided excellent reference material for the future direction and aims of the PeoPo platform. 

Covering four main topics over the day, the symposium not only attracted the participation of many people interested in the development of citizen journalism but also facilitated a number of enlightening exchanges. It is hoped that in the future, PeoPo will continue to expand, improve, and accompany the growth of citizen journalists, providing an important channel for civic expression and voicing out on grassroots issues.

2017PeoPo公民新聞研討會不僅聚焦公民新聞在過去的發展經驗，同時也邀請學者專家，展望未來公民新聞發展的可能性，第四場座談以台灣公民新聞的未來十年作為主題，邀請來自學界以及媒體界以及社運界的代表，提出他們對於公民新聞的想像與期待，內容精彩、值得好好思索，作為PeoPo未來經營公民新聞的參考方向與目標。

而一整天四場的議程下來，吸引不少關心公民新聞發展的朋友共同參與，也激盪出不少的火花，期待在未來PeoPo能夠做得更多更好，持續陪伴公民記者成長，成為公民力量展現與發聲的重要管道。
