2008年3月27日，凌晨天剛亮時，被屋外的五色鳥叫聲吵醒，然後前往尋找鳥的位置，在樹葉裡是不容易被發現的，因五色鳥的羽毛大部份是綠色，跟樹葉一樣是保護色，在尋找中發現一隻正在枯木的樹幹上啄洞，從那天開始就每天不定時的拍些照片和動態的紀錄。
