School volunteer Huang Cai-zheng uses recycled items to produce eco-friendly toys

Huang Cai-zheng (黃財正), the proprietor of a noodle shop in Taoyuan City’s Daxi District, has been volunteering at the local elementary school for over 21 years. Over the years, while helping the school with recycling, Cai-zheng discovered many of the items could be reused, and began using his ingenuity to make all kinds of wonderful toys. In the course of creating these eco-toys, Cai-zheng became increasingly aware of the importance of environmental protection.

Today, he travels extensively giving toy-making lectures and teaching children to cherish resources, passing on his eco spirit to the next generation. Young at heart, Huang Cai-zheng constantly creates new and exciting toys and actively promotes the concept of environmental protection. In terms of environmental sustainability, his ability to take “waste” and miraculously transform it into eco toys, is a true example to all.
