Abandoned and withering plants rescued by bonsai hospital
Located in New Taipei City’s Sanchong District, Sande Park is home to a bonsai hospital dedicated to saving abandoned and sick bonsai plants. Through the expert healing hands of bonsai doctor Ji Chun-Feng (紀春鳳) and the meticulous care of volunteers, the plants are revived from the brink of death.
Ji Chun-Feng, who cherishes and cares for the plants like his own children, not only helps the plants regain vigor and grow luxuriantly again, but has also established a “bonsai bank” where members of the public can freely adopt a plant. The bonsai hospital and bonsai bank are not only saving many dying bonsai plants, they are also helping to recycle valuable resources, thereby tightening the relationship between people and the environment.
